SEND Teaching Assistant
Full-Time Long-Term Temporary Immediate Start
We are currently seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and well-structured school environment on a full-time, long-term basis.
This school offers a calm and nurturing setting, underpinned by strong pastoral systems and a consistent approach to supporting pupils with additional needs. Staff work collaboratively to help pupils regulate emotions, build confidence, and engage positively in learning. Leadership prioritises staff wellbeing and professional support, creating a safe and respectful environment where pupils can make steady academic and personal progress.
Role-
Provide targeted support for pupils with SEMH needs

Work confidently with male students, building positive and professional relationships

Apply strong behaviour management and de-escalation strategies

Support classroom learning and reinforce key lesson content

Collaborate closely with teachers and pastoral staff
-
Assist in implementing personalised learning plans and emotional regulation strategies

Promote resilience, routine, and positive engagement
-
Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare at all times

Has experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
-
Is confident working with male students

Demonstrates strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

Remains calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations

Communicates effectively and works well within a team

Is adaptable, proactive, and responsive to individual pupil needs

Shows a clear commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Is reliable, consistent, and able to build trust with pupils
