The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Kirkby. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by helping children with additional needs thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small-group basis

• Working with children with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties

• Assisting class teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management

• Supporting pupils' emotional, social, and academic development

• Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

• Has previous experience working with SEND pupils (essential)

• Demonstrates a calm, patient, and empathetic approach

• Possesses strong communication and teamwork skills

• Can adapt support to meet individual pupil needs

• Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
