SEND Teacher

Are you a dedicated SEND Teacher passionate about supporting students with additional needs?

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEND Teacher to work in a school setting in Doncaster (DN6).

This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is committed to inclusive education and making a real difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. As a SEND Teacher, you will deliver personalised lessons, support students with a range of needs, and help them build confidence, independence, and academic progress.

Main Responsibilities of a SEND Teacher:

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to meet SEND needs
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support individual learning requirements
• Support students' academic, social, and emotional development
• Implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing clear feedback
• Work closely with teaching assistants and SEN staff to provide effective support
• Promote positive behaviour and support students with emotional regulation
• Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals regarding student progress

To be a SEND Teacher, what you should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience working with students with SEND is essential
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and SEND practices
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A patient, flexible, and supportive approach
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
