SEND Teacher - Primary Special School

Are you a QTS SEND Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity within a primary special school? Do you want to teach small classes where you can truly personalise learning and make a lasting difference? This specialist primary setting is looking to appoint a qualified SEND Teacher to work with pupils who have a range of additional needs, delivering lessons that are engaging, structured and tailored to individual learning profiles.
As a SEND Teacher at this school, you will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons to small classes of primary aged pupils with complex learning needs. You will work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants to create a nurturing and supportive classroom environment. The school is seeking a teacher with a patient, adaptable approach who can build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families. Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role.
Job Role- Teaching a small class of primary pupils with special educational needs
- Planning lessons that are tailored to individual needs and EHCP targets
- Creating a structured, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants to maximise pupil progress
- Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
- Assessing, monitoring and recording students' progress
- Liaising with parents, carers and external professionals
- Enjoy teaching small classes with high levels of support
- Receive strong support from the SLT and TA's
- Have the freedom to adapt the curriculum to meet pupil needs
- Be supported with ongoing CPD and SEND focused training
- Work within a collaborative and nurturing team of SEND Teachers
- Be paid to scale in line with experience up to MPS 6
- Make a genuine difference to the lives of young learners
