Position

SEND Teacher - Fixed Term for 12 months due to specific funding in place - Permanent Full Time (32.5 hours per week, part time hours possible).

M1 M6 £32,916 - £45,352 (dependent on experience).

The Role

We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work across our SEND enhanced provision classrooms, teaching and supporting pupils from Reception to Year 6 with a variety of needs.

This is a unique opportunity to work across the primary phase, delivering high quality, personalised learning experiences and making a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
• Teach pupils across the primary age range (Reception to Year 6)
• Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of needs including SEMH, communication, and cognition and learning
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, teaching assistants, and the SENDCo
• Work alongside the SENDCo and a range of external agencies to support pupil outcomes
• Contribute to statutory processes, including EHCP reviews and annual reviews
• Monitor and track pupil progress, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching children with SEND across the primary phase
• Strong understanding of SEMH, communication needs, and cognition and learning difficulties
• Ability to differentiate effectively and deliver personalised learning
• Strong behaviour management skills, with experience of trauma informed approaches
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all learners
