SEND Reform Programme Lead

We Do Social Work are recruiting for an experienced SEND Reform Programme Lead to support the mobilisation and implementation of an innovative SEND support model. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in transforming SEND provision, strengthening inclusion within mainstream education, and improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
Working closely with senior SEND leaders, education professionals, health partners and wider stakeholders, you will lead the development of a sustainable multi-disciplinary model that enhances early intervention, supports schools, and promotes collaborative working across services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the mobilisation and implementation of the Experts at Hand model, ensuring operational readiness and successful delivery.
- Work collaboratively with Education, SEND and Health partners to develop integrated ways of working.
- Establish and embed a multi-disciplinary model including Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Specialist Teachers.
- Develop governance, performance monitoring and reporting frameworks to support effective service delivery.
- Champion inclusive practice by strengthening the graduated response and building capacity within mainstream schools.
- Monitor service performance, evaluate outcomes and use data to drive continuous service improvement.
- Support commissioning activity, resource planning and the effective use of available resources.
- Represent the service at SEND forums, partnership meetings and education events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, settings and partner agencies to ensure successful implementation of the model.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Significant experience working within SEND, Education, Health or Children's Services.
- Proven experience leading SEND transformation, service improvement or change programmes.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education.
- Experience working across multi-agency partnerships and integrated services.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to translate strategic priorities into successful operational delivery.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to monitor performance and improve outcomes.
