SEND Primary Teacher

Axcis Education is recruiting a dedicated and experienced SEND primary teacher to join a supportive school based in Reading from 1 September 2026. This is a full time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet a range of learning needs in a primary setting.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage student behaviour effectively.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS.
• At least one year of experience teaching SEND pupils within a primary setting.
• Strong behaviour management skills, patience, and a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.

Pay will be dependent on the successful candidate's teacher pay scale and experience.

Required Information & Legal

• Applicants must be suitably qualified and ready to attend a face to face interview.
• Applicants will be required to provide an up to date DBS, or be prepared to allow Axcis to process one on their behalf, and complete other compulsory compliance checks in line with the DfE guidelines.
