Overview

A College in Uxbridge (UB8) is looking for a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This full time role involves supporting students with very severe learning and physical needs. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with personal care (including manual handling), and work closely with staff to maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Key Details

• Location: Uxbridge (UB8)
• Hours: 08:45 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday (Term time only)
• Pay: per day (PAYE)
• Start Date: Immediately

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group support for students with severe and complex needs.
• Assist with personal care, including manual handling.
• Help manage challenging behaviours in a calm, supportive way.
• Support students' physical and emotional wellbeing throughout the day.
• Collaborate with teaching and support staff to meet individual care and learning plans.

Requirements

• Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (on the Update Service or willingness to apply).
• Manual Handling training and experience (preferred).
• Patient, empathetic, and reliable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and follow care routines.
