Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated EYFS SEND Teacher to join a highly supportive specialist setting in Shrewsbury. This maternity cover role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the early development of children aged 0-5 with a range of additional needs, including learning difficulties, developmental delay, and autism.

The Role

As an EYFS SEND Teacher, you will deliver personalised, play-based learning experiences that support every child's individual development. Working closely with a collaborative team, you will help create a positive and inclusive environment where children can thrive at their own pace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver tailored EYFS programmes in a calm, engaging, and supportive way
  • Work collaboratively with support staff to create effective learning environments
  • Encourage early communication, sensory exploration, and independence
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet a diverse range of needs
  • Build strong, trusting relationships that support pupil confidence and progress
About You:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience within EYFS and/or supporting pupils with SEND
  • A patient, creative, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Resilient, compassionate, and committed to early years development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
