SEND and AP Service Team Manager

Salary: £61,653 - £65,181 pa inclusive

Grade: 15

We are currently recruiting to the following exciting opportunities within Ealing's SEND and AP Service:

We are recruiting a SEND and AP Service Team Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams delivering statutory SEND services across assessment, planning, and provision. This role is central to driving service improvement and ensuring that children and young people receive timely, coordinated, and outcome-focused support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing teams including Senior EHCCos, EHCCos, Travel Assessors and other key staff
  • Overseeing service performance, quality assurance, and statutory compliance
  • Supporting implementation of the Local Area SEND Strategy
  • Driving improvements in co-production and engagement with families and partners
  • Contributing to data analysis, reporting, strategic development and inspection readiness
About You

You will be a resilient and strategic leader with a strong working knowledge of SEND legislation, statutory processes, and best practice. You will be confident working independently and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Your excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills will enable you to build effective relationships with families, schools, and multi agency partners, while maintaining a clear focus on outcomes and statutory compliance.

  • Confidence in managing complex casework and leading teams
  • A commitment to co-production and inclusive practice
  • The ability to influence and drive service improvement

This is a strategic leadership role for individuals with a strong understanding of SEND legislation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.

Additional Information

This role is a customer-facing and requires a good command of spoken English (Part 7, Immigration Act 2016). All posts are subject to enhanced DBS checks and Ealing's safer recruitment and vetting procedures.
