SEN Teaching Assistant - Emersons Green, Bristol ?Start: ASAPHours: Full-time or part-timeA welcomingprimary school in Emersons Green is looking for a dedicated SEN TeachingAssistant to provide focused 1:1 support. This role is ideal for someone withstrong SEN experience who is passionate about helping pupils access learning ina supportive, structured environment.Role Overview ?

• Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies
• Encourage engagement, confidence and emotional regulation
• Support classroom routines, transitions and small-group work

Candidate Profile ?

• Previous SEN experience is essential
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills
• Level 2/3 TA qualification advantageous
• Driving licence beneficial

• SEN training highly valued, including:
• Understanding Autism
• ADHD Awareness
• Team Teach / De-escalation Training
• Trauma-Informed Practice
• BSL or communication-based training
• Makaton (highly desirable for supporting communication needs)
