Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Whether you are an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or a graduate looking to gain hands on experience in education, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and progress in the SEN sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students 1:1 and in small groups across primary, secondary, or college settings.
  • Work with students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties, providing tailored support.
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual needs, using PECS, Makaton, and sensory based learning.
  • Help students develop confidence, independence, and social skills through structured interventions.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and provide emotional support when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create a nurturing learning environment.
  • Encourage inclusion and engagement, ensuring all students have access to learning opportunities.
Who We're Looking For
  • Graduates in Psychology, Education, SEN, Social Work, or related fields looking for hands on experience.
  • Experienced Teaching Assistants, Youth Workers, or Support Workers with a passion for SEN.
  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to working with children and young people.
  • Knowledge or experience of SEN strategies such as PECS, Makaton, Team Teach, or de escalation techniques (desirable but not essential).
  • A willingness to learn and take part in ongoing CPD and training.
