Recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who may display traits of challenging behaviour. SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Provide consistent 1:1 support tailored to the needs of a Year 4 pupil with ASD
• Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour
• Support with emotional regulation, communication and social interaction
• Adapt learning activities to ensure accessibility and engagement
• Promote independence, positive behaviour and confidence
• Track and report progress, behaviour patterns and any concerns
• Maintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
• Experience supporting students 1:1 in a primary school setting
• Understanding of sensory needs and ASD friendly approaches
• Knowledge of positive behaviour support strategies
• Relevant training such as Team Teach ideal but not essential
• Teaching Assistant L2/L3, Care or SEND qualification
