SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Canterbury, Kent

£440 - £550 Per Week

Academics is currently seeking a dedicated Sen Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a student in a home setting in the Canterbury area.

This role is ideal for a compassionate individual with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs, offering personalised academic and emotional support outside of a school environment.

As a sen teaching assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to meet the student's individual learning needs

• Support engagement, confidence, and emotional regulation

• Follow guidance from education professionals and EHCP targets

• Create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment

• Work closely with Academics to ensure consistent support

The successful sen teaching assistant will:

• Have experience working with SEN students (essential)

• Be confident using assistive technology to support learning and engagement

• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability

• Be comfortable supporting learning in a home-based setting

• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)

• Be able to travel to Canterbury
