A secondary school in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs across the school. This is a long term role starting in September 2026, with strong potential to continue across the academic year. The ideal candidate can support learning, manage pupil relationships professionally, and help students access the classroom without adding pressure to teachers.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEN, EHCPs, ASD or SEMH needs
• Working across lessons with teachers and support staff
• Helping pupils stay focused and regulated
• Providing consistent classroom and small group support

Qualifications

• School-based support experience or strong transferable experience
• A calm, mature and reliable approach
• Confidence supporting secondary aged pupils
• Ability to follow direction while also using initiative

Pay: £90 - £110 per day

Location: Walthamstow, Waltham Forest (E11 1GA)
