We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Sittingbourne, supporting a small group of children within a specialist nurture provision.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive in a structured, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a small group of pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team
- Deliver activities using pre-prepared planning
- Help create a calm, consistent, and nurturing learning environment
- Support pupils' emotional, social, and academic development
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children with SEN
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Reliable and able to commit to the full duration of the role
- Must work term time only (no holidays during term time)
- Minimal pre-booked appointments to ensure consistency for pupils
