SEN Teaching Assistant - Royston, Hertfordshire

Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 (actual, dependent on experience/qualifications)

Hourly Rate: £12.87 - £14.03

Hours: Full-time, 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, term time only, 8:30am - 16:30pm

We are looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with ASD, ADHD, and a diverse range of additional needs. This role includes personal care support, 1:1 and small group assistance, and helping children engage safely in learning.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children with SEN in class and during activities
• Providing personal care and emotional support as required
• Implementing individual support plans and behaviour strategies
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create an inclusive environment

Requirements

• Experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or complex needs
• Confidence in personal care and practical support
• Patient, resilient, and nurturing team player
• Relevant qualifications desirable but not essential
