Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Syon Manor College, Isleworth, London, TW7 5AJ
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience, not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Rota: Monday-Wednesday 8.30am-4.30pm Thursday-Friday 8.30am-4.00pm
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only
Start: April 2026

About the Role
We are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teacher (Health & Social Care) to join our team at the Syon Manor, Isleworth campus. This is a permanent opportunity to deliver high-quality, inclusive education to pupils with a wide range of academic, social and emotional needs, ensuring every learner is supported to make meaningful progress from their individual starting points.
The successful post holder will work flexibly across tutor groups and subjects, contributing to a positive, trauma-informed and nurturing learning environment that reflects and strengthens the wider ethos of the College.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned to Pearson examination boards
- Deliver the College curriculum in an accessible, relevant, and meaningful way
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress using formative and summative assessment methods, including EFL
- Establish clear routines and boundaries that promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development within a trauma-informed and nurturing environment
- Work flexibly across tutor groups and subject areas to meet the needs of all learners
This role is ideal for an adaptable and reflective SEN professional who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve success both academically and personally, within a supportive and values-driven setting.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Qualified: QTS/QTLS. UQT to apply and salary negotiable
- Experienced: Strong understanding of SEN, including ASC, learning difficulties, and complex needs
- Compassionate & Resilient: Able to build trusting relationships with pupils who may have faced significant challenges
- Collaborative: A clear communicator who thrives in a team environment
- Creative & Flexible: You'll need to adapt and innovate to meet individual needs
