Job Description
Position Overview

Primary Teacher (Years 3-6) - SEN Specialist (Autism Focus). The role begins in September 2026, initially on a temporary basis with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent after the first term.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Previous experience in Primary, EYFS, or SEN settings
  • Strong knowledge of Autism and effective strategies to support pupils with additional needs
  • Skilled in classroom and behaviour management
  • Passionate about delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to each child
  • Reflective, resilient, and collaborative practitioner
Key Responsibilities
  • Teach small groups of pupils in Years 3-6, adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom for pupils with Autism
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants to deliver consistent, high-quality support
  • Monitor and track progress, setting achievable, individualised goals
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and help shape specialist SEN provision in Radlett
