Responsibilities
  • As an SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning experiences.
  • Work closely with a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team.
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils and families.

  • Use creativity, flexibility, and empathy to help children thrive.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs and/or complex learning profiles
  • A strong understanding of inclusive, child centred practice
  • The ability to adapt teaching approaches creatively and responsively
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive, nurturing approach
Desirable
  • Experience in a specialist setting
  • Knowledge of sensory integration, communication approaches, or therapeutic strategies
  • Training in areas such as Makaton, PECS, Team Teach, or similar
  • Confidence in working with external professionals and families
  • A willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
