Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students with a range of special educational needs, supporting them to access learning, build confidence, and make meaningful academic and social progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to students with a range of special educational needs.
• Develop and implement individual learning plans aligned with EHCP targets.
• Support students with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, and external professionals to support student development.
• Monitor, assess, and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.
• Create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes engagement and independence.

Requirements

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated learning.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
