About the School

Are you ready to join a specialist independent school where every single child matters?

Opened in 2023, our thriving school supports up to 50 young people (aged 5-19) with Autism Spectrum Conditions and associated educational challenges. We are incredibly proud to have already achieved "Outstanding" ratings from Ofsted for both Behaviour & Attitudes and Personal Development.

We believe that education should adapt to the child, not the other way around. Now, we are looking for a dedicated, empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our passionate team and help our pupils thrive.

Your Role: Inspiring & Supporting

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you won't just be supervising - you will be a vital part of our pupils' daily breakthroughs, growth, and wellbeing.

What you'll be doing:
  • Empowering Pupils: Supporting diverse learning activities and care needs tailored to each child.
  • Building Trust: Creating warm, secure relationships that make pupils feel safe, valued, and understood.
  • Encouraging Independence: Helping students develop life skills, confidence, and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Collaborating: Working hand-in-hand with teachers to deliver an engaging, flexible, and accessible curriculum.
What We Are Looking For

We want someone who genuinely loves working with children and brings infectious energy to the classroom.

The Essentials:

  • Experience: Prior experience working with SEN pupils (in a paid or voluntary capacity).
  • Education: GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent).
  • Values: A deep understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and a child-focused approach.
  • Traits: Resilience, flexibility, and a big heart!

The Desirables (Bonus points if you have these!):

  • A Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Specific knowledge of ASD, SEN, or SEMH needs.
  • A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
