Job Description

SEN Primary Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and well-resourced primary SEN school in Chessington, with an immediate start available.

This vibrant and inclusive SEN school is committed to meeting the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class, delivering personalised learning and creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Role Details:
  • Full-time, term-time position

  • KS2 class within a specialist primary SEN setting
  • Supportive leadership team and strong multi-disciplinary collaboration

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
  • Lead a KS2 class, fostering a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO, therapists, and external professionals
  • Support pupils' emotional regulation, independence, and social development
  • Promote positive behaviour strategies and build strong, trusting relationships
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEN, ideally within KS2 or a primary SEN setting
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and personalised learning approaches
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A genuine commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
