About the Client/Child

Theo (9) is an engaging, active boy who loves swimming, water play, messy play, music, climbing, trampolining and being outdoors. He also enjoys quiet indoor spaces to decompress. Theo is autistic, non-verbal and has ADHD, global developmental delay and sensory processing differences. He communicates by leading adults, using simple gestures and communication boards at school. He responds best to calm, simple instructions and a patient, reassuring approach.

The Role at a Glance

Support Theo after school and at weekends, helping him transition from school, enjoy his favourite activities and remain safe and regulated through consistent routines. Duties include after-school care, meals, personal care, swimming, sensory play, outdoor activities and community outings.

Close supervision is essential, particularly in kitchens, bathrooms and public settings, as Theo can become unsettled if unwell or overwhelmed. Weekend hours are planned in advance. During school holidays, weekday hours may vary slightly but are agreed ahead of time. Theo sleeps through the night, so overnight disturbance is unlikely.

An experienced, calm and energetic SEN Nanny / Manny who enjoys active play, is confident supporting autistic children, emotional regulation and personal care, and is happy working in a rural location. A driver is essential.

Why You'll Love This Role
