Overview

SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Liverpool Role Type: Part Time & Full Time Positions Available Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm. Salary: £102-£115 per day. About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming and supportive schools in Liverpool.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child's educational journey by providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Implement personalised learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
  • Support the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development
  • Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
  • Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and parents where appropriate
Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, or other additional needs
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS (child and adult workforce), satisfactory references, and full compliance with KCSIE (2024) guidance and safer recruitment standards.
