The RoleThe successful SEN Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated learning to pupils with SEMH needs. You will work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team to support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons to meet individual needs
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support emotional regulation and engagement
- Contribute to EHCP reviews, progress tracking, and reporting
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff
- Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with SEN/SEMH learners (desirable but not essential)
- Strong behaviour management and relational teaching approach
- Resilient, compassionate, and adaptable nature
- Commitment to inclusive and child-centred education
