SEMH Teaching Assistant - Torbay

We are seeking a secondary Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a secondary Independent school in Torbay.
About the roleWorking closely with class teachers and support staff, you will help pupils access their learning, build confidence and enjoy school life. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include supporting small groups and individual pupils with SEMH, assisting with classroom activities, promoting positive behaviour and contributing to a calm, nurturing learning environment.

You do not need extensive formal experience. This role would suit local applicants, recent graduates, youth workers, sports coaches, existing teaching assistants or support workers seeking a rewarding role in education.
Key informationPay: £95-£105 a day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start date: ASAP
