SEMH Higher Level Teaching Assistant Bexley
Are you an experienced HLTA or SEMH practitioner ready to take on a more impactful role supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a primary setting?

SEMH HLTA What s on Offer:
- Competitive Outer London Salary (HLTA scale, dependent on experience)
- Permanent, full-time role starting May/June
- 36 hours per week, term-time only
- Work within a brand-new SEMH provision in a mainstream primary setting
- Lead and deliver small group and one-to-one SEMH interventions across the primary phase
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, engagement, and behaviour strategies
- Work closely with teachers to plan and adapt learning for individual needs
- Take responsibility for delivering planned lessons in teacher absence where appropriate
- Contribute to behaviour support plans, EHCP targets, and pupil progress tracking
- HLTA qualification or substantial experience working at HLTA level
- Experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a school or similar setting
- Experience in PRUs, Alternative Provisions, or SEN schools is desirable but not essential
- A university degree is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication skills and confidence leading small groups
- Calm, resilient approach with the ability to manage challenging behaviour
- Ambition to contribute to the development of a new specialist provision
