Security Officer

Job Overview

We are seeking professional, customer-focused Security Officers to join our team at The View from The Shard, one of London's most iconic and prestigious visitor attractions. This is a high profile front of house role where you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, security, and exceptional experience of all visitors, staff, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and professional security presence across the venue
• Deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors, acting as an ambassador for VFTS
• Conduct bag searches and screening procedures in line with site protocols
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, escalating any incidents appropriately
• Carry out regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security compliance
• Respond to incidents including emergencies, first aid situations, and evacuations
• Enforce site rules and ensure compliance with health & safety procedures
• Liaise effectively with client representatives, emergency services, and internal teams
• Accurately complete incident reports and logbooks

What We're Looking For

• A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (essential)
• Strong customer service skills with a proactive, approachable nature
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• High level of attention to detail and situational awareness
• Experience in security within a customer facing or high footfall environment (preferred)
• Flexible approach to working shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
