We're looking for professional, adaptable and customer-focused Relief Security Officers to support HMRC sites across Preston and Manchester.

About the Role

As a Relief Security Officer, you'll provide a visible and professional security presence across several HMRC sites, supporting day-to-day operations and covering planned and short-notice absences.

You'll be responsible for carrying out patrols, responding to incidents, monitoring site activity and ensuring all Assignment Instructions and Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.

This role is ideal for someone flexible, proactive and confident working independently across multiple locations.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous security experience
  • Valid SIA Licence
  • SC Clearance desirable
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional, reliable and approachable attitude
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Flexible approach to working days, nights and weekends
  • Good attention to detail and strong observational skills
What You'll Be Doing
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment across HMRC sites
  • Conducting patrols and routine security checks
  • Responding professionally to incidents and emergencies
  • Monitoring and reporting suspicious activity or potential risks
  • Completing accurate incident reports and records
  • Following all Assignment Instructions, policies and compliance procedures
  • Reporting Health & Safety concerns promptly and appropriately
  • Delivering a professional and customer-focused service at all times
