Security Officer - Flexi Hours

Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill, Marylebone, London, UK.

Schedule: Available working hours vary each week, ranging from 0 to 40 hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of guest floors, public areas, and back of house areas, including perimeter checks, to maintain safety and security standards.
• Ensure all rooms, offices, and service areas are secure; identify and report any fire, health, or safety hazards.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, including crimes and accidents, following proper procedures and completing accurate reports.
• Control access to the premises, monitor staff entrances, issue and manage ID cards and visitor passes, and prevent unauthorised entry.
• Investigate and document all incidents, accidents, and injuries involving guests, employees, or hotel property.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, breaches, and security concerns, including updating the occurrence book and preparing formal reports.
• Support compliance with health and safety regulations, enforcing policies such as smoking restrictions and accident prevention measures.

About you

We seek a proactive, reliable individual with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism. Prior experience in a security or similar role is highly advantageous, and experience within a hotel or hospitality environment is desirable. The ideal candidate has excellent observational and communication skills, remains calm under pressure, and is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and colleagues. A flexible approach to working hours and a strong team ethic are essential.
