Secondary SEN Teacher - Bromley

A very supportive and Ofsted-rated Outstanding SEN school in Bromley is looking for a dedicated Secondary SEN Teacher to work with students across Key Stage 3-4 with complex needs.

What's on offer:

We are looking for a Secondary SEN Teacher to join a welcoming SEN school that specialises in supporting pupils with ASD and complex needs in a secondary setting.

This is a rewarding role where you will create a structured, supportive and inclusive classroom. You will plan and deliver tailored learning that meets each student's individual needs, helping them develop communication, independence, life skills and emotional regulation.

The School

This very supportive SEN school provides education for students aged 5-16 with ASD and complex needs. The school follows a highly adapted curriculum, combining academic learning with life skills, sensory integration and communication development approaches to help every student achieve their full potential. Staff work closely together with therapists and external professionals to provide strong support for both students and teachers.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons using a differentiated and adapted secondary curriculum
  • Support students with a range of complex needs, including ASD, communication difficulties and sensory needs
  • Work closely with therapists and other professionals
  • Create a structured and supportive classroom environment
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Lead and work closely with the classroom support team

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience or strong understanding of supporting students with ASD and complex needs
  • Secondary school teaching experience preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
