Secondary Maths Teacher - Richmond

Full Time Position Immediate Start - Summer Term and On-Going

Location: Richmond, South West London

Salary: £200-£265 per day, dependent on experience

About the Role

As a Secondary Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring pupils remain motivated and supported in their learning journey. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while fostering a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment. You will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, creativity and effective classroom management skills, supporting pupils in developing their numeracy, problem solving and analytical skills in line with the national curriculum. The position will begin at the start of the summer term with the potential to continue on an ongoing basis for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Teach a broad range of mathematical topics including number, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability in line with the national curriculum
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on pupil progress
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and leadership teams
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school specific policies at all times
About You
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Maths curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Adaptable, flexible, and confident working in a new environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
