Seasonal Operative (Cemeteries)

Do you enjoy working outdoors and keeping community spaces clean, tidy and well maintained?

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out basic maintenance across all 9 cemeteries in Renfrewshire.
• Travel between sites; a current driving licence is preferred but not required.
• Perform gardening duties such as strimming, litter picking, debris collection, and grass cutting.
• Adhere to all health and safety requirements, including the use of appropriate PPE (provided by the local authority).
• Respect families and visitors, maintaining a considerate approach throughout the work.

Qualifications and Experience

• Valid Category B driving licence desirable but not mandatory.
• Background in outdoor maintenance, landscaping, or a trade based role using power tools.
• Must be able to pass a Basic Disclosure check.
• Safety first mindset and the ability to work independently in all Scottish weather.

Benefits and Conditions

• Pay: £14.68 per hour (£543.13 per week).
• Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 8am 4pm; Friday 7:30am 3:00pm (may require occasional flexibility).
• Duration: Seasonal; until October 2026.
• Location: Paisley.
• Start date: As soon as possible.
