Job DescriptionTalan Consulting is working in partnership with a leading global investment bank to recruit an experienced SD-WAN Network Engineer for a major WAN transformation programme. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the deployment of a Fortinet-based SD-WAN solution across over 30 global sites.
As part of the infrastructure team, you will be instrumental in the rollout and integration of a new SD-WAN platform. The role involves close collaboration with global engineering teams, local IT support, and third-party providers to deliver a secure, high-performing, and future-ready network.
QualificationsEssential Experience & Skills:
Deep understanding of traditional WAN technologies (e.g., MPLS, leased lines) and their integration with SD-WAN.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), IP addressing schemes, and network segmentation practices.
Experience operating within enterprise-scale, security-conscious environments with rigorous change control processes.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in globally distributed teams.
Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
Prior exposure to legacy WAN optimisation tools such as Ipanema.
Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare).
Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., FortiManager, SolarWinds, PRTG).
Industry certifications such as NSE4+, CCNP, JNCIS.
ITIL knowledge and experience working within ITIL-aligned environments.
