Job Responsibilities

As an ODP you will:

• Prepare patients and equipment for orthopaedic procedures, ensuring all systems are ready for surgery.
• Maintain the sterile field and assist the surgical team throughout operations.
• Monitor patient safety and respond promptly to any complications.
• Support the operating theatre staff in a fast paced environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives.

Ramsay Oaks Hospital, Colchester.

What You'll Bring

• HCPC registration without restrictions.
• Experience in orthopaedic surgical scrub (hip/knee arthroplasty, ACL).
• Desirable: Surgical First Assist qualification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible, positive attitude.
• Warm, empathetic character.
