The Science Department:
The Science department is a well-established team made up of experienced teachers who work collaboratively to plan lessons and share resources. The department teaches all three sciences across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with separate science pathways available at GCSE and strong uptake at A Level.

Teachers benefit from well-equipped laboratories, dedicated preparation areas and strong technician support, allowing practical work to play an important role in lessons.

The department places a clear focus on helping pupils develop both their scientific knowledge and their curiosity about the subject.

Staff regularly work together on curriculum planning and assessment, ensuring lessons are well structured and students are supported at every stage of their learning. There is also a strong emphasis on helping pupils develop the skills needed for further study in science-related subjects.
