About the school

Connex are seeking a Science Teacher for an ongoing temporary position. They desire a candidate who demonstrates dedication to educational excellence and aligns with their core values. The successful applicant will seamlessly integrate into the Science Department and effectively deliver the established curriculum.

Assignment Details

As a supply science teacher, you will be responsible for effectively delivering Science instruction to secondary school students across Key Stages 3-4. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities, and employ a range of teaching methods to facilitate pupil learning. The successful applicant will have a strong background in science subjects, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to build positive rapport with Students

Person Specification

• must be 21 and over
• Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
• PGCE in Science or related subject from a recognized provider
• You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
• Have experience teaching science in a UK secondary school setting.
• Be able to plan and deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 Science lessons across ability ranges.
• Have excellent behaviour management and classroom control skills.
