Science Academic CoachDo you want a full academic year supporting KS3 and KS4 science, where you run focused sessions and see pupils improve across biology, chemistry and physics? Science Academic Coach September 2026 to July 2027 £90 - £100 per day Secondary school based in Wolverhampton Targeted academic support across KS3 & KS4 ScienceThe Role:You will raise attainment through targeted 1:1 and small group support, plus in-class support where needed. You will target the blockers: weak scientific vocabulary, gaps in core concepts, weak graph and data skills, and unclear written answers.In KS3, you will tighten foundations, so pupils follow lessons with more confidence. In KS4, you will build exam routines pupils repeat read the question, spot the command word, select the right knowledge, apply it, then check for accuracy and key terms.Sessions stay structured: recap, model, guided practice, independent attempt, quick check. You will keep brief outcomes and share them with teachers so support stays aligned to current topics and assessments. You will reinforce classroom routines and expectations, so pupils stay ready to learn.The Candidate:You bring clear explanations, calm presence, and strong organisation.

• Degree at 2:2 or above, a science subject is ideal
• Confident supporting KS3 and KS4 across biology, chemistry and physics
• Comfortable delivering 1:1 and small group sessions with clear aims and pace
• Experience with young people through tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work, or volunteering is desirable
• Professional approach to behaviour, boundaries, confidentiality, and safeguarding
• Enhanced DBS required, plus right to work checks, references, and standard school vetting
