School Cook (term time)

Job Vacancy: School Cooks (September Start!)

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cooks to join our team for work within schools across the Wigan region.

Location: Wigan
Pay Rate: From £15.00/hour
Start Date: September
Shifts: Monday - Friday between the hours of 7am - 2pm (may vary depending on the school)

What You'll Do

• Prepare food to a high standard and adhering to menu specifications
• Ensure kitchen is fully equipped and in good working condition, reporting any issues to be resolved by management
• Stocke the kitchen with supplies and organising stockroom, including monitoring of sell by dates and rotating stock
• Monitor ingredients and reporting order requests
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens and food service areas
• Follow food safety guidelines
• Report any safeguarding concerns
• Work and communicate effectively within the kitchen team and with Front of House team members
• Complete due diligence and ensuring full compliance with relevant Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations

You Should Have

• Passion for food
• Previous experience in a chef or cook role
• Organised and good time management
• A friendly and positive attitude
• The ability to work under pressure
• Reliability and good timekeeping
