School Cleaner

We are currently recruiting for a School Cleaner to join our Facilities Management team at a school in Fulford, York.

Working Hours

During School Holidays: Monday to Friday, 3.5 hours a day, 17.5 hours weekly (flexible start time between 08:00am - 11:30am).

Normal hours: Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm - 7:00pm; Friday, 1:30pm- 5:30pm.

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment throughout the school.

Duties include

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces
• Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate including the Children's Barred List is essential
• Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
• High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail

£12.71 per hour

Please note: Applications will only be considered from candidates who already hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate including the Children's Barred List or will be happy to be put forward for an Enhanced DBS.
