Aurora Brampton Valley School is opening its doors in late 2026 (tbc) and will be a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious school for children and young people aged 5-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. With a capacity of 72 students, our vision is to create a safe, enriching and aspirational environment where every learner can thrive.

We are currently looking to recruit a School Cleaner provide a cleaning service for the school across all types of rooms, including offices, classrooms, corridors, and toilets.

Key Duties:

• Vacuuming/cleaning floors.
• Spot cleaning of spillages.
• Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass.
• Emptying and cleaning bins (daily).
• Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds.
• Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces.
• Wiping, dusting, cobweb removal, polishing.
• Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc (daily).
• Undertake deep clean as and when required.
• Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work and ensure the building is secure on exit.
• Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time.

Like many SEN environments; your duties are likely to vary and therefore candidates will need to be flexible and be able to lend a hand whenever required.

Skills and Qualifications:

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:

• Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulation in regard to cleaning equipment and cleaning materials.
• Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the school team.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to prioritise work and be flexible.
• Experience of undertaking a range of cleaning duties
