Scenic Construction Manager

Hours: 40 hours per week.
Summary of the role
The Scenic Construction Manager will work with the Head of Production, the Stage Manager, Directors and Designers to achieve the best possible production values within the resources available, ensuring plans can be realised on schedule and within budget.
They will keep all parties informed of construction and staging requirements for productions and manage construction staff whether full-time, part time or casual, ensuring that work is carried out safely and in accordance with the School's requirements.

Who are we looking for?
An experienced scenic construction workshop manager and lead scenic carpenter with a proven track record of delivering multiple projects successfully.
- You will be skilled in project scheduling, rigging and counterweight systems, budget management, stock control, and workforce planning.
- You must be proficient in hand and power tool maintenance, workshop and stage equipment repairs, welding, AutoCAD, and Vectorworks.
- You must be up-to-date in your knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, guidance, and best practices, ensuring all scenic, flying, and rigging elements are constructed and operated safely and effectively.
