SC Cleared Change Manager (SAP S/4HANA)

SAP Change Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Defence Environment

The Rate - Up to £650 per day

IR35 Status - Outside IR35
The Location - Berkshire
The Working Pattern - 3 days per week on site
Duration - 12 months
Security Clearance - Active SC Clearance required, willingness to undergo DV Clearance

About the Client
Digital Skills are working with a Defence Organisation undertaking a major transformation programme across its finance function. The client is currently implementing SAP S/4HANA to modernise processes and improve operational efficiency.

About the Role
This role will play a key part in ensuring the successful adoption of SAP S/4HANA across the finance division. You will focus on assessing organisational impact, shaping change strategies, and supporting the business through the transition into the testing and delivery phases of the programme.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and analyse the organisational impact of SAP S/4HANA implementation
  • Engage with finance stakeholders to understand current processes and future-state requirements
  • Develop and deliver change management strategies aligned with programme milestones
  • Support the transition from high-level design into SIT (System Integration Testing) phase
  • Identify risks and challenges associated with business change and adoption
  • Produce impact assessments, communication plans and readiness assessments
  • Support training planning and business readiness activities
  • Work closely with programme teams, including delivery, testing, and functional SMEs

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Change Manager on large-scale transformation programmes
  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, ideally within finance environments
  • Ability to assess business processes and identify downstream impacts of system changes
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly within complex organisations
  • Experience working within Defence or secure environments is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of change frameworks, methodologies, and governance
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Active SC Clearance and willingness to undergo DV Clearance

Summary of the Best Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Change Manager with a strong background in SAP-led transformation programmes, particularly within finance functions. You will be confident in assessing organisational impact, engaging senior stakeholders, and driving structured change in complex and secure environments. Experience in Defence or similarly regulated sectors will be highly beneficial, alongside a pragmatic and delivery-focused approach.
