SAP Supply Chain SME - Leicester - 12 month contract

We are seeking an experienced SAP Supply Chain SME to take ownership of SAP configuration across core Supply Chain processes. This role is heavily hands-on and requires deep functional expertise across SAP Logistics modules, with responsibility for designing, configuring, optimising, and supporting end-to-end solutions. The successful candidate will act as the functional authority for SAP Supply Chain, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain SAP configuration across SD, MM, WM, LES and MRP, ensuring alignment with business processes.
• Design, configure and optimise SAP solutions to support end-to-end supply chain operations.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and functional support for complex SAP issues.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and configuration designs.
• Lead impact assessments for system changes, enhancements and releases.
• Ensure integrity of master data, interfaces, and integration points across modules.
• Support testing cycles including SIT, UAT and regression testing.
• Maintain high-quality functional documentation and configuration rationale.
• Work closely with technical teams to support developments, enhancements and integrations.
• Drive continuous improvement across supply chain system capability.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Strong experience as a SAP Supply Chain / Logistics Configuration Consultant or SME.
• Deep configuration knowledge across:
• SD (Sales & Distribution)
• MM (Materials Management)
• WM / EWM
• LES
• MRP
