SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect (Pre-Sales)

We have a new requirement for a SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect to work in our clients' Pre-sales team. Location and Travel

Ideal candidate will be based within commuting distance to Farnborough, Glasgow, or the North East. Onsite work is required 20-25% of the time, including regular travel to customer sites.

Required Experience

1. Extensive SAP consulting experience, with cross-functional knowledge across core modules.
2. At least 2 S/4HANA transformation programs (Greenfield and Brownfield), leading architecture or end-to-end solutioning.
3. Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA and key SAP modules such as FICO, MM, SD, PP, WM, or HR.
4. Hands-on experience defining To-Be architectures, process maps, interface specs, and technical deployment models.
5. Proven track record of delivering SAP programs across industries such as Manufacturing, CPG, Retail, Defence, or Public Sector.
6. Knowledge of SAP Cloud, RISE with SAP, and deployment strategies (conceptual knowledge beneficial).

Skills & Competencies

1. Functional depth in at least two domains (e.g., Finance + Logistics or Manufacturing + Procurement).
2. Strong architecture documentation skills (ARIS, Signavio, LeanIX, or equivalent).
3. Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills, up to CIO/CTO level.
4. Understanding of data migration, analytics, and testing strategies within SAP programs.
5. Collaborative, detail-oriented, and quality-focused; capable of working in hybrid delivery models.

Methodologies & Tools

1. SAP Activate Methodology for roadmap and deployment planning.
2. Use of Solution Manager, JIRA, Confluence, and design traceability tools.
3. Exposure to TOGAF, enterprise architecture principles, and agile delivery models is beneficial.

Qualifications & Certifications

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Business.
2. SAP Certification in S/4HANA Finance, Logistics, or Architecture preferred.
3. TOGAF, ITIL, or Cloud Architecture credentials (AWS/Azure) are advantageous.
