SAP MDG Consultant - 6 months (temp to perm) - EU

Our client is a global organisation undergoing a major transformation of its data governance landscape. They are strengthening their digital capabilities and seeking experts who can help shape scalable, future-proof data processes across multiple business units.

As an SAP MDG Consultant, you will design, configure and enhance SAP MDG solutions, supporting end-to-end governance processes for material and finance master data. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, compliance and consistency across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into SAP MDG technical specifications.
• Configure and customise SAP MDG workflows, governance models and data validation rules.
• Support integration with SAP and non-SAP systems, including troubleshooting and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to deliver high-quality master-data solutions.
• Produce and maintain documentation (BPDs, FDDs, TSDs, data models, data flows).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data governance practices and tools.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP MDG, SAP S/4, workflows, BRF+, and mass-maintenance processes.
• Ability to configure master data objects, workflow rules, replication models and SOA/BADI extensions.
• Experience with integration testing, cutover activities and data quality validation.
• Solid understanding of SAP modules and their master-data dependencies (eg, CRM, SD, PTP).
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Agile environments is a plus.

Contract Details

• Contract type: Freelance/Independent Contractor
• Duration: 6 months with option to go perm
• Workload: Full-time (40 hours per week)
• Location: Sofia (full remote within EMEA)
