SAP Manufacturing/Production Planning Consultant - London - Hybrid - £550 - £650 Outside IR35

My client is seeking experienced and motivated SAP Production Planning (PP-PI) Consultants to join their rapidly growing UK practice on an initial 6-month Outside IR35 contract. You will work at the forefront of SAP S/4HANA-enabled manufacturing transformation, partnering with leading Life Sciences organisations to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions. You will operate as a trusted advisor to clients while developing your career within an entrepreneurial, low-bureaucracy consulting environment.

Job responsibilities

• Act as a trusted SAP PP-PI advisor to clients, aligning manufacturing and production planning processes with business objectives
• Lead and support the analysis, design, and implementation of SAP PP-PI solutions within SAP S/4HANA environments
• Deliver end-to-end project phases including blueprinting, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare
• Design and implement best-practice production planning, process manufacturing, and shop floor execution solutions
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to optimise MRP, capacity planning, batch management, and production execution
• Work closely with cross-functional SAP teams to ensure seamless integration with Finance, MM, SD, QM, and logistics modules
• Apply Life Sciences and process manufacturing best practices to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence
• Contribute to SAP template design and global rollout strategies for enterprise clients

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience delivering at least two full SAP PP-PI project life cycles, with S/4HANA experience essential
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP PP-PI, including MRP, production planning, process manufacturing, and MES integration
• Experience designing SAP PP-PI templates and providing business-led SAP consulting services
• Solid understanding of production planning, batch management, and shop floor execution best practices
• Demonstrated ability to optimise manufacturing processes to improve resource utilisation and reduce lead times
• Hands-on experience with SAP PP-PI integration across Finance, Logistics, and Materials Management modules
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to business stakeholders
• Consulting background within a Big 4, major System Integrator, or specialist SAP consultancy (preferred)
• Industry experience within Life Sciences or process manufacturing (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemicals) is highly advantageous
• Collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams
