SAP IS-U Solution Designer (EDM & Device Management)

Very good written and spoken German is mandatory.

Location: Frankfurt & Munich, Germany (60-70% on-site)

The Role
For our German utilities client, we are seeking a highly skilled SAP Solution Designer to specialise in Energy Data Management (EDM) and Device Management. You will play a crucial role in designing, customising, and developing solutions on the Billing platform, with a focus on core processes like meter reading and market communication (MSCONS). You'll provide expert advice to the Product Owner to ensure user stories are feasible and align with business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement technical solutions for EDM-related topics, including device management and meter reading processes.
• Serve as a technical expert for the their Billing platform, creating functional and technical specifications.
• Advise the Product Owner on the feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and value of user stories, and their impact on reducing complexity.
• Utilise strong ABAP programming and customising skills to implement solutions.
• Support migration activities, including data mapping and transformation (optional but a plus).

Required Profile

• Broad and deep knowledge of energy industry processes and the sales processes for electricity and gas.
• Knowledge of SAP IS-U/UC4G, with a focus on EDM and Device Management.
• Strong technical skills in ABAP programming and customising.
• Excellent understanding of market communication, especially MSCONS.
• Experience in working within agile teams, with strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
