SAP HCM Payroll Consultant (France)

Start Date: March 2026
Duration: Minimum 8 months
Location: Remote with some onsite presence as required

Client: Global organisation undergoing a SAP Payroll deployment programme

Overview

Akkodis is supporting a major global client embarking on a large-scale SAP Payroll implementation. We are seeking an experienced Lead SAP HCM Payroll Consultant (France) to join the Wave 1 deployment, participate in the kickoff, and take ownership of the French payroll stream.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of SAP HCM French Payroll (PY)
• Work closely with functional and technical teams to ensure accurate configuration
• Participate in blueprinting, fit-gap analysis, workshops, and solution validation
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal French payroll requirements
• Guide the client through testing phases including SIT, UAT, and parallel payroll runs
• Interface with stakeholders across HR, Finance, and IT
• Provide expertise and recommendations to ensure best-practice payroll processes
• Support deployment planning and cutover activities
• Offer post-go-live support and knowledge transfer

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong, proven experience as a Lead SAP HCM PY Consultant for France
• Deep understanding of French payroll legislation, rules, schemas, and business processes
• Previous experience on full implementation life cycles (blueprint to go-live)
• Ability to challenge requirements and propose optimised solutions
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Experience working in global or multi-country SAP environments is highly beneficial
